MG TD TF 1500 - Another Anti-Swaybar System
I received the following from BB'er Ernst Ettema: there are more possibilities of building a swaybar in a MG. I found this car here in Holland, imported from California. It is a MGTD chassis with a mgtf coach work, a 6 cilinder engine (Hummingham ????). Hereby the pictures of the swaybar. I've added Ernst's images to the page: http://www.ttalk.info/ARB_systems.htm We do have some strange exports from these States. If it's TF coachwork on a TD frame -- is it the missing TE? |

That's actually a very tidy installation. ... have no idea as to the origin of the sway bar itself, as the yokes are at right angles to the normal MGB ASB. But this feature makes the special bracket necessary and the resulting installation is indeed, quite compact. I'm not sure of the geometry but I think somebody stayed up a few nights figuring out this one! Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |
