MG TD TF 1500 - Arnolt MG Coupe
Greetings. I have literally stumbled across a 1953 Arnolt MG coupe, extremely low miles, in very good condition. Might I request your assistance in putting a resale value to this rare MG. (I know MGB's and MGC's perhaps a modern midget or two...but want to learn!) Please feel free to contact me off-list at mowog1@aol.com or respond directly to the BBS post. Thanks in advance. rick ingram |

Rick, Unfortunately, they aren't worth anything. I will be happy to haul it away for you and relieve you of the burden. ;^) Good luck, Evan |

Thanks, Evan. I'll take that under consideration if the deal I get at the local recycler falls through! ;-) rick |

Can't you tell us more? Is it a barnfind? Did a mournfull widow knock on your door saying "I see you like MG's, can you tow away my late husbands'?" Come on, please! This is the stuff we all dream about. |

Or were you driving down a country road and you saw a hand painted sign "Car for Sale" on the fence post and after knocking on the door of the old farmhouse, a little old lady led you to the barn ... and there in the corner was the Arnolt...(beside the tarp covering an original "Speedster").... come on...?????? |

And the little old lady told it was her brother's car long since dead, who was the son of the vicar and only used it on Sundays to go to church. He had bought it from the earl living at the castle who has a cellar full of wine and old cars...etc etc Yes, yes come on, it's something like that isn't it ??? |

and it has never been driven in the rain! |

re: never driven in the rain.... Very possible as the odometer reading is 2051. I'll fill you in on how I came across this in another post. Regards.. rick |

2051....hmmmm... is this just a coincidence??? 2051....0251??? And the body numbers/chassis number? |

re: 2051....hmmmm... is this just a coincidence??? 2051....0251??? And the body numbers/chassis number? ***** Yes...I noticed that coincidence, too! I don't know what the chassis number is. I doubt if the body would have an Abindgon number as the coachwork was done in Italy before being sent to the distributor in the States. rick |
