Welcome back, Rufus!
Tom

Congratulations....!!!!
gblawson - TD#27667

great news Georg. I'm not up to speed on your efforts. Did you do an engine rebuild, or were you starting a 'sleeping' motor? Judging from the paint job on the engine, I'm guessing you did a rebuild. It looks nice!

Hi Georg,

Congratulations on bringing another T series back to life! I know just how you are feeling about this milestone in your project. I started up the engine of my TF in November last year after it had 35 year "rest" and we also celebrated with champagne. great going and good to see the photo. I have included one of my start-up for you to compare.

All the best,
Bill

Dave,

we flushed the engine mount, gave them new piston rings, cleaned all, paint the Block and gave him new sealings.

Georg! I've been to your wonderful (wunderbar) site several times. I just never made the connection to you on the forum! Although I was born in Augsburg, your English is certainly better than my Deutsch.

Hi Steve,

The car you can see with the aluminium body is a hand built replica classic racing car being built by the guy holding the jumper leads to my car. Its actually his garage not mine and I was using his hoist and garage facilities when doing a valve grind on my TF before the start-up! It's what he does! I think he has built about 20 of them for various classic car racing enthusiasts. They are way cheaper to put together than a genuine classic, just as much fun to race (he uses old Morris and Austin engines and parts) and not so stressful on the owner who frets about crashing his precious restoration!

In your first post you have gthe front cowl on. Are you going to paint it in place or is that just being fitted?
BEC Cunha

so what is the "front cowl"? I can translate it. Is it where the Battery and the fuel pump is mounted?
