MG TD TF 1500 - Bonnet lock colours

Does anyone know what colour the bonnet locks are supposed to be?

Body colour or black?

I might be wrong, but I think they were cad plated. One of mine shows, what looks like, a cad plating. The buttons and outside mount being chrome. PJ

Hi Aj,

As Paul J says, on the TF plated - cad not available in the UK now, (except for military etc). Suggest bright zinc, a cheap and widely available finish, on the top bonnet brackets as well, with chrome on the outside parts.
