MG TD TF 1500 - Braided fuel lines
I currently have black rubber fuel lines running from the fuel pumps to the carbs. They are modern, new lines, and work well, and connect to the brass fittings with small hose clamps. Where the braided covered lines that various suppliers sell original to T series cars? Are the any better in preventing vapor lock (which I haven't experienced). None of the suppliers sell the correct length of braided fuel lines for the longest fuel line run on a TD MkII, so I will have to go to an auto supply store to get this stuff. The question is, is it correct or even worth it? Ira |

It is correct although I have not seen a replacement that was as small in diameter as the originals. And is it worth it? They may last a bit longer since some of these are nylon underneath I think instead of rubber. As far as vapor lock I think the concensus is that this is not going to help much. |
