MG TD TF 1500 - Brake spring-brake shoe setady

BMC-MG midget Workshop Manual Issue 2 8/52 on Brake shore diagram M-10 shows and relates a spring to steady brake shoes. During dismantle and in every catlogue see nor read of any such item was this a figment of someone at Abingdon. Have just completely rebuilt evry thing in system, don't want brakes falling apart on first time out

Moss part number 181-340 brake shoe steady. Shows that 4 are needed on the rear only with the exception of early TD.It is item # 66 in Moss catalogue.
