MG TD TF 1500 - Broken axle half-shaft
It seems to be a hall-mark of classic MG's--as well as fuel pump failure. Does anyone have a clever suggestion for removing the short broken piece that's still engaged in the differential? It would be great if I didn't have to remove the other axle and try to punch the piece out with a stiff metal dowel. (Or break the axle housing down if that fails.) Anyone have any luck with getting the darn thing out without tearing the whole rear end apart? Thanks for your help. Cheers Chris Johnson |

Chris, If you haven't already done this, go back to the archives on this website. Plug in - axle or broken axle/all years - for the search. You'll find several detailed descriptions of others experiences.... |
