MG TD TF 1500 - Carb Spacers TF
How thick should the spacers that fit between the inlet mainfold and the carb be? Mine are 1/2" thick and appear to be make up from two 1/4" pieces. My manifold was tuned by Mangoletsi and I don't know if thinner spacers would be OK. Jan T |

Jan, I can't speak for the TF - but on my TD which is very similar I have a 1/4" spacer - seem to be made of black Paxolin or something similar and I don't have any vapor lock issues. The main point with the spacer is, do you have enough room to prevent the carbs or air filters from contacting the side or the Rad stay. More insulation I think would be better when it comes to not transferring heat to the carbs via the manifold. On my set up one is sufficient. I also put a normal casket on each side of them though.
