MG TD TF 1500 - Clock Screws
Getting around to putting in the clock I have been missing since I bought the TD. Does anyone know the size of the small machine screws that hold it in place? Thanks for any help. Larry |

Don't know the answer to that, Larry, but just thought I'd mention that a ground lug goes under one of them. |

I don't know for the TD, but I would bet they are 4BA (slightly smaller than US 6-32) This is what the smallest nuts and machine screws on the TF The others are 2BA, close to 10-32 |

I just happened to have my tach sitting on my desk next to me waiting to be re-installed. Don was close. They are 2BA by about 11/32" long. I'm sure a 3/8" long would also work. Roy |

Thanks all for the info. Now to find some 2BA screws that size :-) Bud: Thanks for the info on the ground. I would have thought the clock was grounded as the tach case itself has a ground wire. |

Larry - I'll check what I have for the fuel pumps in hte way of 2BA screws. I'm sure that I have some that are close to the correct length. As long as the ground wire is attached to one of the hole down bracket screws for the tach, the clock will get its ground throughthe tach case. Cheers - Dave |

Larry - I found two 2BA screws and am sticking them in hte mail to you. Cheers - Dave |

You're a Prince Dave - Thanks!! BTW, made all the solder connections for the diodes (you know what I'm addressing), and didn't burn the heck out of myself :-) Public thanks for all the wiring "help for the electrically challenged" :-) Larry |
