MG TD TF 1500 - Database of MG stuff?

I was looking for the exhaust manifold stud thread size on the forum and I did find it (8x1mm) after some time searching through the archives. However, it made me think that an MG database might be a very nice idea - eventually, it could have every thread and bolt size as well as dimensional measurements on a MG, searchable just by typing "exhaust" "manifold" etc.
Any interest in this? I could build one with Access and then build a web interface for it...
Unless, of course, it's already been done?

Lots of stuff like this available in various spreadsheets. Have you ever attempted an Access .mdb on the web? Who would host it?

Chris Couper's site answers most if not all my questions. It is without doubt the best site of its kind I've seen bar none! Just Google The Original TD midget. Geoff. Cheers

EFH, the answer to your question is yes, - on very large scales. I have used Access, MSSQL, MySQL and many more and built dozens of web interfaces...
If there isn't a need, not worth doing... if there is...

I'd certainly find it very helpfull, so might I suggest would many others if it was available. Save a great deal of time rummaging around in the odds and ends box searching for that but or bolt you've mislaid. The basics could be listed and possibly added to by guys as they come across them. One example of the strange workings of MG is the different thread sizes on each end of the gear cover of a TD/TF gearbox.what was all that about??

Geoff & JK why reinvent the wheel? As I said above its already been done. The site is easy to use, instantly accessible, incredibly comprehensive, updated constantly (unlike a book) & any errors are removed immediately following notification. There is also a sister site for TF's. I consider it one of the absolutely essential tools in TD/TF restoration. Check it out & I think you'll be amazed at the scope of the content & the extent of the detail! Cheers
