MG TD TF 1500 - Distributor Identification

A friend is trying to identify a dist. found "on-the- shelf". The number is 41148A. apparently the date is 866 which would be August 1966. My Lucas book only goes from 1939 to 1954. So I had no luck (if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all). I believe someone on this BBS had the next issue of the Lucas parts book. Could they give a look and tell me what it was supposed to go on?

Bob, I don't have that Lucas book, but I do have some Lucas distributor information and I don't find the No. 41148A listed. IF however the number is 41198, then the distributor could have been used on a pre 1971 midget Mk III, or a Sprite Mk IV.

Thanks Dallas -- But the number is definetly 41148A. It may very well not be an MG number. The garage has a Riley and a Triumph as well as several MG's.
