MG TD TF 1500 - Draining TF Shocks
Gentlemen, I want to change the oil in all 4 shocks on the TF. Is there a way to drain what is already in them, without removing them from the car? Gene |

Gene - I'm not sure about the rear shocks, butthe front shocks should have the valve on the bottom of the portion that projects out betweent he arms. You can unscrew the valve and that should drain them. come to think about it the valve is on the bottom of the rear shocks and should drain the same way. Good luck - Dave |

Unfortunately, to refill the shocks you have to pump the levers thru their full travel several times to expell all the air. So you have to at least disconnect the arms. Easy on front, much harder on rear. |
