MG TD TF 1500 - footwell

Does anyone have a footwell they would like to part with for a reasonable sum? And, will someone be so kind as to give me an approximate location to cut the floorboard for installation of a footwell. Thanks for your help.

Tim,
Are you refering to the foot rest that is located in the passanger footwell? If so, they are very easy to make and you do not have to cut out anything in the car to install them. If this is the case I can make a drawing for you. Have a good day!

I'm debating putting my pass foot well back in. What purpose does it really serve??

I rutt,
If you are talking about the passenger foot rest, it is a great place to store small tools and spares!

Larry,

If you ARE talking about the passenger foot rest, it reduces fatique on trips by giving a more natural leg position for the passenger. I consider it essential for those riding with me.

The driver has a footwell, the passenger has a footrest. Which are you after Tim?

It is the driver's footwell. I was looking for a part number in the online Moss book but cannot find it at the moment. Bud, thanks for the diagram, that will help when I find the footwell which I think is made of metal.

The footwell is made of metal. It is a tray, mounts with a flange on the top surface of the floor board, and includes a crease and a small drain hole to allow spilled brake fluid to escape. There is also a larger hole over the brake master cylinder.

Here is a picture!

I too am minus my driver footwell (and passenger footrest too) and if a source was found would be interested in getting one. I could probably make one easy enough too. I've lived without it for 30 yrs! But an extra inch or so would help the size 10 1/2's.
