MG TD TF 1500 - Fuel Line Fittings

I have replaced the fuel line from the tank to the pump
and now need the compression fittings that connect to the tank fitting and to the fuel pump. I think these are 3/8-19 BSP non tapered. I do not see these listed in Moss or Abingdon Spares catalogs. Does anyone know where to buy these?

The problem is they are not compression fittings!

You need the fuel line (Moss 454-080, $58.75), which has the correct fittings already installed.
See Page17 of the current US Moss catalog, Item 56 fot TD & EARLY TF.

The tapered ends are machined out of brass and soldered on the fuel line, not collars compressed onto the line as in compression fittings.

Dallas - Don is correct, the only compression fitting used in the fuel system is the elbows that go onto the fuel pumps. You can however get the nuts and nipples that you are looking for from Moss under the following Part numbers. Nut 376-405 @ $5.95 and Nipple (soldered onto the fuel pipe) 376-415 @ $4.30. Two of each should get you on the road. Cheers - Dave

Thanks Dave, and Don. I used the term "compression fitting" generically.
The part numbers are what I needed.

The biggest problem is that the only place you can find the fitting in the Moss catalog, even though it is used in all models, is under the MGB listing. The only reason I knew that they existed is that I needed to get some for my SU fuel pump test stand. Cheers - Dave

Source? Sure. Try Paul Beck Vintage Supplies: http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/en/list+taps,+pipe+and+fittings/

Thanks again Dave- I also appreciate the comment about the parts being in the MGB catalog, as I had racked my remaining brain trying to find where they are listed.
I ended up ordering the complete fuel line, as I was getting blank answers from the clerk, both on delivery from east coast or west coast, as well as back order status - I don't think he could find them either.

As the cost of the fittings was about half the cost of a completed line and I still had to solder them (and solve any possible misfits with American tubing versus what ever size they use, I opted for the complete fuel line. I didn't order the complete line initially because of my lack of confidence due to what I have been receiving from Moss. What I envisioned from Moss was a tangled mess of copper that had been abused in both shelf storage and packaging for shipment.
Maybe I will be lucky, but I think I will wait and see the Moss line before I retire the one I made.

Thanks Lew, I had refrained from looking across the pond due to money conversion and shipping cost, but they may actually be competitive.
