MG TD TF 1500 - Fuel Line Routing
I'm trying to find some guidance on the correct routing of the fuel line, especially where it exits the frame rail flange and travels upward to the fuel pump. It is possible to route the copper line up through the frame tower. If not through the tower then it must go in front of the horizontal bar at the top of the tower. Schach (pg.136) talks about a bolt holding the line at the top of the tower. Does anyone have a photo showing this detail? |

Roy, At the point that the fuel pipe is attached to the top bolt, I put a piece of neoprene hose between the fuel pipe and the pipe clamp to insure that the copper pipe doesn't wear through,,, SPW |

Roy, Schach is correct. It does go over the horizontal bar. A metal clamp secures it at that point. I'll find an image showing it and will post it on Ttalk later this morning. It's now later -- http://www.ttalk.info/60_3.JPG . This is an image from an excellent car that was listed on eBay. You can just see the clamp at the bottom edge of the horizontal scacer. This is now on http://www.ttalk.info/picture_this.htm |
