MG TD TF 1500 - fuel lines???

There is a white TD on ebay,,# 221080154851 ,,, what do you think is going on with the copper fuel lines up near the pump,,, seems like there is some sort of a loop with fittings, and rubber hose on the cowl next to the pump, and then over to the pump????? It only shows in two pictures,,,,,

Looks like some funky way they have attached a fuel filter. It looks like the fuel pump is new but probaly won't last long.
