MG TD TF 1500 - Fuel pump filter
My 1954 TF was hesitating under load last night, and I thought I would start by cleaning the fuel pump filter. When I looked underneath, the pump is mounted to the mounting plate so that you can see nothing on the differential side, and the breaker point cover is towards the wheel and above the frame. Is this the normal mounting position, and is it possible to remove the filter with it in this position, presumably by removing the wheel and accessing from that side? |

If you have the stock pump, you are supposed to be able to get it out from the bottom of the die cast body. Remove the large brass nut on the bottom of the pump body, and the filter will be found inside. REach in with the pinky and slip it out. |
