MG TD TF 1500 - GoF West 2007 Trip Report
For anyone interested, I have (finally) completed my report from our trip to GoF West 2007. We drove our TC from the Los Angeles area to Park City, Utah, taking scenic routes wherever possible. I expected it to be miserable driving to a destination across the hottest parts of the US in July, but the trip turned out to be quite enjoyable with many memorable experiences. The address is http://mgnuts.com/mg/events/gofwest2007/ where you will find five pages with over 300 photos. |

I must say, I'm impressed. I'm sitting here contemplating driving my newly restored '50 TD 100 miles tomorrow to the GOF here in Georgia, and I can't seem to get the nerve up to do it. And, here you have driven across the several states through the most rugged terrain the US has to offer (not to mention some of the most desolate "no service" areas!).....I may just have to get up and go in the morning afterall! |

Steve, Your bravery is commendable and an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for restoring our confidence in long distances for the 'T' series. Tom |

Hadn't been to your site in a while, really enjoyed it as always. The trip report was excellent, thank you! |

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm glad you all enjoyed the trip log. :) Robert, what's the worst that can happen in 100 miles? If the car breaks down and can't be repaired, it's only an hour to tow it home and get another car! Go drive and put worry out of your mind. Have fun! |

Steve, I enjoyed your tripreport. Lovely pics! Greetings, Huib |

Great story, Steve, and terrific photography as well. I've never been out that way, but there appears to be much to see. Don't know if I could deal with the heat, though. Can't believe you survived and the car the conditions with so little difficulty...you're a brave soul. Nice work. |

I wasn't sure I would survive that heat either! I highly recommend touring Utah and a northerly route into California. But I don't recommend crossing through Nevada in July! |

Beautiful work and very entertaining, as usual, Steve. Thanks so much for sharing the trip with us. I almost felt like I was there! warmly, dave |
