MG TD TF 1500 - good one to save
I know there are those out there that could restor this MG. It will be interesting to see what price it goes for. Being not in the know on older MG's. Anyone like to tell me what it is? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MG-1930-s-MGTD-Restoration-Vinatage-Collectable-NoResrv_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6314QQihZ001QQitemZ110261744123QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW |

It's an MG PA midget. Pretty desireable car. warmly, dave |

That will be very interesting to watch... should be around $10,000 but is certainly a rough one. Restored it would be $20,000 to $30,000? |

I don't know Gordon. A freshly and properly restored PA should fetch more in the range of $40,000. It will be interesting what this one does! warmly, dave |

I don't have enough money to bid on it - RIGHT NOW, but I'm going to see what my bank manager will say. I have quite a few PA spares on hand including swept fenders, grill shell, wheels, doors, and a front apron that is vastly better than in the pix.etc. At 75, this would make a great retirement project. Gentlemen, Are those trafficator turn signal arms I see just forward of the doors? Gene |
Gene Burgess |
Yep, those are trafficators Gene. These are neat little cars. They replaced the J series. Police used them as pursuit vehicles in some British towns, and they also were sucessful racing. A bunch of PAs and PBs were made into Airline coupes (ok, not a bunch, an Airline is pretty rare). A friend of mine has pointed out to me that to have a professional restore this car would require $80K or $20K and 1000 hours of work if you did it yourself (if you have all those skills) for a car he feels would be worth about $30k (gee Gordon, two votes in your price range, one in mine!) I'm too big for this car, a dapper person under six foot fits these 'Midgets' much better. ~sigh~ But a really cool car none the less. dave |

The gentleman (in the blue shirt) that owns this one is well over 6' tall.

Thanks LaVerne, I guess I'll have to rethink it! Afterall, the PA is larger than the J2... |
