MG TD TF 1500 - Grose Jet
I'd like to find out about a Grose jet for our cars. My carburetoris a Solex 32 PBIC. They were very similar to the Zenith-Stromberg carburetors of that era. In fact, rebuild kits are interchangeable I believe. So, I was thinking maybe one of the Grose jets supplied for the post 1974 MGB, Sprite, and midgets might be the same. Those cars used a Zenith-Stromberg NOT a SU Carburetor. I measured the threaded end and the hex for screwing it into the carburetor top. The Threaded portion is 11.90 mm diameter or about 15/32 inches. The hex is 14.35 mm or about 9/16 inches. I was thinking that maybe the Grose Jet from Moss with model number 386-350 might be this size. This is what I would like to have checked out. If it is not this size maybe you can ask if they have any that are that size. It would be for the Zenith NOT the SU. Thanks, |

Marvin - You might have better luck getting an answer from people on the MGB Board, where more people would have a car using the Zenith-Stromberg carbs. Good luck - Dave |
