MG TD TF 1500 - Hand crank clip position
Tally Ho TD 1952. I find here on BBS this hand crank subject, from 2008. http://www.mg-cars.net/mgtd-mgtf1500-bbs/handcrank-clip-position-200802031811292541.htm. Good picture of it there and I know about p15 of Operation Manual. However I would like the location, as original, with measurement, inches or metric. Likely the location varies from month to month of assembly 1952? Thanks anyone. Cheerio Tom Graham TD 1952 VMG Club of Southern California |

While I don't have exact measurements for you, you can get extremely close by using these pictures and doing relative measurements from various places such as the seat back brackets, holes etc. https://www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgtd/Pictures/TD23004/mgtd_gallery_td23004.htm |

thanks Christopher FWIW, I have a crank used on the MGA. Exact same dimensions. Except the handle is of 5/8 dia steel. While TD is 3/4 inch? The MGA handle works fine and is a bit easy to handle. |

Hi Tom, I can't remember where I got this. Many thanks to the author. Thanks to this chart, I was able to find the original holes although the seat back was covered by a new leather cover without any holes. Laurent. |

thank you Laurent FWIW, in the Operation Manual page 15, hand crank location, the car is a RHD. This pointed out to me by a friend. So the crank handle is behind the driver, whether LHD or RHD, yes? Regards - Tom Graham TD 1952 VMG Club of Southern California |

Yes. The manuals are all RHD but really only the steering, pedals, windscreen motor (non 53) and dash are different. |
