MG TD TF 1500 - Harting Fuel PUmps
Someone one this or one of the other MG Bulletin Boards posted the URL for the company that produces the Harting fuel pumps. I seem to have lost that URL and need to contact the Harting people. would the person who posted that information please either post it again or send it to me directly at the above e-mail address. Thank you - Dave |

David, Perhaps contacting these folks might help - Vintage Jag Works lists on their JAGUAR PARTS: REBUILT/ RECONDITIONED page under Fuel Pumps, "Early square base SU and Harting". http://www.vintagejag.com/parts/rebuilt.htm Safety fast, Paul |

Paul, Thank you for the reply. I got a reply on one of the other lists from a gentelman in Germany who got me steered in the right direction. Seems that the Harting company is no longer in business, it was taken over some time ago by a company named Huco in Germany. I have written to them to see if they still support the old Harting pumps with sapres. The other (identical) pump to the Harting is the Hardi pump. That company is still in business and have responded to my query about parts and say they will be able to supply me with diaphragms. It is interesting that the link you provided talks about the "early square backed" SU and Harting pumps. I have one of those (SU variety) on my test stand right now from a local Jag owner. Those are the LCS pumps made by SU and are still available from Burlen fuel. If you are interested in reading an article on SU pumps, the various styles along with some technical data and troubleshooting tips, see my article on Les Bengtson's web site: http://www.custompistols.com/cars/articles/dd_su_fuel_pumps_101.htm Cheers - Dave |
