MG TD TF 1500 - headlights no work?
My headlights in my 1953 MGTD have suddenly stopped working. the parking lights, dash, radio, etc all work fine. The fuses on the firewall seem okay. What is the next thing to check? Thanks |

I'd start by checking the wires on the back of the switch. |

And then check the dip switch for power at the Blue connection. Blue in (power from the light switch) and then Blue white or Blue Red out to the headlights. |

Good Morning C.W. Another thing you might want to check is the ground to your lights. TD's normaly ground through the body. Knowing this, when I restored it and ran new wiring harness, I added ground wires to the front lights. In ten years they have worked well. Hope this helps, John |

CW. You might find your dip switch is caroded or dirty, even though it has power. My car behaved the same way the other day and cycling the dip switch a number of times brought the headlights back. |
