MG TD TF 1500 - Hey, at least he doesn’t call it totally original!
But I’m kind of wondering what the aluminum pop rivets are locked into, hopefully not the rotten main rail? I don’t think I have ever seen this kind of wooden dash before, either? |

Sorry, I probably should add this? John http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320329888853&category=31858&viewitem= |

Looks like most of the stuff is there (dash parts excluded), would need total resto likely. They didn't use enough fasteners on the top! George |

Is the top a three bow top with the middle bow missing? Something funney about the shape of the top. The speedo and tach are dished which says late TD. But the windscreen wiper is early TD. Kind of a mish-mash of parts. That frame is going to need some serious attention also. The sheet metal looks pretty good, so I guess it's a restorable car. Cheers, Bob |

Bob, The top sure does look funny-shaped. My TD #10835) has the dished instruments with side wiper, so I think that is OK. The dished started around car #10750 or so, but the middle mount wiper was much later, on into '53 production. Wonder how many naugabeasts it took for the upholstery?? George |

The padded scuttle is a touch I have not seen before. Wonder how bad the frame is that they riveted on the extra metal? Well, there is another on e=bay that says it has 15,000 original miles. Going for $25,450. Says original, not restored. Nice looker, but couple of things have obviously been redone. Grill, paint on engine (at least valve cover and side cover.) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MG-T-Series-MGTD-Nice-1952-MG-TD-15-368-original-miles-Very-NICE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a3Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1308QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem280298886227QQitemZ280298886227QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks |

The top looks funny because it covers the area where the rear side windows go... |

Bruce, The link to the "Original" E-Bay TD that you provided, uses the Christmas Card from Chris Coupers Site,"The Original TD midget" ,, I wonder if there are any copyright issues ??? SPW |

There are a couple of things that say at least repaint if not complete restoration. The license plate backing plate is body color, believe original was black. Chrome grill was only on late TD MkII's. 15K miles would be about right for an older restoration. Bob |
