MG TD TF 1500 - How many coats of engine paint?

Sprayed one coat of paint on engine block (restoring 1954 mgtf: removed engine). Do I stop there or put on another coat(s) of paint?

Its like painting anything...if you got complete coverage with no thin spots or misses...then your done. If you feel a 2nd coat is necessary, go for it! If you have waited too long you will have to remove the gloss before the 2nd.
