MG TD TF 1500 - 'I put a toggle switch... TF wipers
Hi all: David Sherward et al do any of you who have put a toggle switch on their TF wipers have either photos or a drawing of the circuit they used? I too would like to use doors on my glove boxes and NOT have to remove one to activate the wipers...Yeh ... I know Rainx:) Regards Rod |

I did mine Rod. No pics but I have a 4 toggle sub panel below the drivers glove box. One toggle for the heater fan, one with a pull cable for the heater water flow, one unused ( maybe fuel pump someday) and one for the wipers. I just disconnected the the wiper motor wire running to the wiper switch and left it lay there and added another wire and threaded it to the toggle switch from the wiper motor and then one from the switch to a ground on the dash. Easy to put back correctly if someone down the line wants to do so. |

I'll be out in the garage tomorrow and get some pix. Are you neg, or poss ground? |

Thanks Laverne:) David ... thank you for going for the photos_ I'm negative ground! Regards Rod |

Rod , Pix of the wire did not come out very well. On my wiper it was a white wire ...but it might have been changed at some point?...just engaged stock switch, cut the white wire, and ran a couple wires to a toggle switch on my panel under the dash. It's the black one that is not marked on my panel. Checked my wiring diagram ...but I never got around to adding this to it. |

Which ones the NOS switch? |
LaVerne |
OK show and tell time, I chucked the rheostat switch in favor of a toggle for the heater fan.

Far left is NOS. Camera did not like the bright white letters. |

Gents:) Many thanks photos and Pix really helpful! Thanks Rod |
