MG TD TF 1500 - Interesting 1500 TF on ebay?
Good day all! There seems to be an interesting 1500 TF on eBay. The listing dose not show a reserve or it has already been met. If this is so then it might be a good car for some one looking to get into an MG. Just my thoughts, John |

Is it my imagination, or does the grill lean a bit to the one side? Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

Think you have been 'leaning' into the wind during our 'storm of the winter'? |

Gordon C, Well spotted re the leaning radiator shell but I suspect it is exacerbated by the front bumper blade not being level from one side of the car to the other!? (note the gap difference between the top of the right and left hand bumper overrider and the respective headlight nacelles). However, quite a tidy car in many respects. I do not know this car in the SE Michigan area. Owners is not envolved with Michigan MGT. Probably coming out of the woodwork. It is registered on Payne"s TF database. |

It sold for $13600 and it seemed like a good deal. Look closely at the front wings. The left one seems to be longer (lower in the front) than the RH one. I ran into this once when I purchased a new wing and it not only was lower but the headlight fairing was closer to the grill shell. Insurance had to pay for a second one to match. Still it is possible for the frame to be bent on the LH side and this could lower the bumper. Sandy |

Good Morning All Sometimes things just seem too good to be true. In this case they aren’t, or at least I think they aren’t true? Last Friday I sent the seller of this TF a question as to the reserve price and had it been met. And was there a “Buy it Now” price he alludes to in the listing? Here is his or her reply: hi, First you have to know that the MG is 100% working and looking, no flaws, no scratches or any kind of damage, no flood or wrecked and it is an US clear title, no engine problems, the interior looks great for a 1954 MG. The MG was always stored in a garage. If you are interested in the MG I have a bottom price of 9,200$. The car is in good working conditions and as seen on the pictures stil 100% original. If it wasn't for the fact I need the money this week for an operation that my wife will be put trought in UK I wouldn't sell it no matther what else...I will close the auction at anytime I find a buyer. For more pictures e-mail me at: charbel4frt@aol.com Regards. Charbel. And now to top it all off the winning bidder has Zero purchases, how fishy is this.I think I smell a herring or two here. John |
