MG TD TF 1500 - It's Back
Short history. 52 TD just "stopped". The response from the original thread was great. I had the ignition switch rebuilt and replaced the engine ground strip. The car ran fine (in the daylight). Last night, after a great dinner, we cranked the car, and all was well until I turned on the lights. Deja vu all over again. No response from the vechicle. I have traced the circuit and have 12 volts from the A1 terminal of the control box to the "A" port on the ignition switch. When the key is turned to on, the voltgage drops to .5 volts (reading the voltgage from the "A" port). I have to admit that I am stumped. The car has headlight beam warning light, foot operated dip switch, and turn signals. Thoughts? Thanks. |
