I thought that this might give some of the followers of this BBS, a bit of amusement. It is snowing in Harvie Heights, near Banff Alberta Canada on this date, can you believe it. George Raham TD 4224 |

That's that global warming for you.... |

Brings to mind the story a couple months ago that the global warming science expedition was stranded on an ice sheet somewhere, as the temperatures were too low and blizzard so bad they couldn't be rescued. |

And it's also snowing in Crested Butte, CO USA at 9,600'. But she ran fine with the top down on my new Peter Caldwell rear shocks test drive! |

Hi all, What I want to know is if global warming is all down to industrial production and CO2 emmissions, how come we had several ice ages interspursed with warm temperate periods, when man (and woman) lived in caves with no industrial production at all! I've never heard an answer to this - I wonder why! Meanwhile back in the workshop the ivory beast is slumbering....... Cheers, John |

Must have been all the mastodon farts, John. |

Funny you mention that Gene...been working all day on converting the TF to run on mastodon methane! David |

Canada will reject the installation of ALGOR on the grounds of excess polution. Mastadon Farts are puny compared to ALGOR' |

Since the topic has been raised, I thought I might draw to the attention of the evident skeptics here a book examining the evidence and demolishing the man-made CO2 argument. This is "heaven+earth", author Ian Plimer. Plimer is professor of geology at Adelaide and not only one of the more emanent geologists in this country but also a prominent skeptic. In general, geologists don't accept the man-made argument and Plimer gives all the science for this. I must say that the book though supposedly written for the general public, becomes somewhat boring after a couple of chapters of tables and graphs, but the argument is good. It is at least worth reading the Introduction. Bill McGee |
