MG TD TF 1500 - Just got my 2nd TD

And I got it for a bargain price (compared to the 1st one) of $23/inch, 1/4th the price. Great thing about it is it will be hard to find ways to spend MORE on it since it is near perfect in every way. But, it will be very difficult to go for rides in it --- since it is only 15 inches long.

Can't help but wonder...is that the one Greg had "included" with his TD when he sold it? Looks nice enough to be his work!
If yes then ...whatasmuck that broker was to break up such a nice pair. Some people ...anyting for a few extra $$....just wait till he gets to the Pearly Gates and ST. Peter is driving a "T"...there will be no "cornering robustly" on streets paved in gold for that one! Can Greg's "tools" be far behind?
Greg ....if your still watching these post and that is your model, I hope Grim takes a bite out of the guy before they send him off to drive a Pinto on muddy roads in H**L!

NO that wouldn't be the model that went with MGTD11547. That model had the areas under the headlights gound out for more realistick look, had windscreen-wipers-wiper motor added, and door handles, chrome foil on side lights and tail lights. I used all original parts as they were good quality. Blowing up that pic on ebay looks like the grill/headlight might be re-pro part.
Doepke never made a TF but I was in the process of modeling one when I got hit with this 24hr oxygen thing so I had to stop work on it. That's why I had to let go of MGTD11547 because I can't grind & paint and stuff anymore. I still have about 50 Doepke's some of which are restored, some are still restoreable, some are for parts. Haven't decided what to do yet, probably wait till after Holidays. I'll try to get organized and post some updated pics out at http://community.webshots.com/user/52mgtd
Been bad year this one, lost Grimm about 3wks ago, He's in Doggie Heaven now. He was 15 & 1/2 yrs old.

Dear Greg,

INMHO you have not "lost" Grimm any more than I have my Mother. Just close your eyes.

Don't have posession yet but the seller says that the grill/headlights are aftermarket as is the rudder. Its going to hang vertically right above my computer desk right beside a georgeous original oil fishing waterfront scene by some dude named THOMAS (looked for information - drew blank).

Glad to hear that is not the model of "MGTD11547". Maybe still hope that one will find it's way to the new caretaker as I am sure that was your intention. I did not look close enough at the pic's to see the missing details that you put on your models. Good to hear from you ...ever make contact with new owner of 115447?

No contact yet with new owner.
Yes they are all round tail lights.
No they never had a license brackets, however I fab the brackets using the telescopic brass tubing from the hobby shop.
