MG TD TF 1500 - King of road removal
Before I mess them up, I will ask. Is there a way to easily remove the King of Road emblems from the lights? Do I have to bend back the edges to remove them? On a 52 TD thanks KG |

Kevin, I am not an expert, but I think by just pushing up on them from the inside they will release. The new repos are very nice and I wouldn't be afraid of them as they look just right on my 54. The plastic may be a little brittle around the edges, but may be slightly glued or snapped into place. Old glue has a problem of being brittle and/or hard as you know. Mark |

Are you talking about the metal ones in the headlights? Yes, you do have to bend the edges back carefully. The repros of those are lousy. Kevin, presuming you are talking about the parking light dots, where did you get your repros? The last ones I saw were the wrong color (purplish instead of red), too big, and stuck way up out of the housing. I'm hoping maybe someone took the time to make some nice ones. George |

Sorry for not being clear. The emblems are for the headlights. I guess I will have to bend up the tabs. thanks |

hello, don't be surprised if the tabs break off either when you remove the emblem or when you try to reinstall. regards, tom |

I would not be too concerned about the tabs breaking. You can get new ones from the likes of the Complete Automobilist in the UK and you can always refit the originals with silicon. Not a bad way to go in any event as it seals from moisture entering the headlamp bucket. Terry |
