MG TD TF 1500 - LED - PLug-n-play

Probably this subject has come up before - but I feel there is a lot more new developments in the LED for car business.

Does anyone know of a source for The TD led bulbs or Led Kits?

Also in particular I have Lucas PL700 tripod and light output is very weak to say the least. I would like a very bright LED to fit directly.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated

Over three years ago I fitted LED bulbs to my positive earth TD in the headlamp shown, and they seem to work fine and produce better light with less electrical draw. Can not recall who I got the bulbs from. Maybe here: enquiries@bettercarlighting.co.uk. One strange quirk came up however, the small main beam warning lamps is on all the time the headlamps are on either dipped or main beam. The supplier gave me some overly complex explanation and solution blaming it on some sort of "electrical leak". Not wanting to mess with my ancient wiring harness I simply live with it.

I made good experiences with AUXITO headlight bulbs, both H7 and H4 (the latter is relevant for the TD). Good light distribution, high brightness and no defects so far. Not cheap, but still reasonable.

I am actually surprised that no one makes a positive ground LED for the TD - Lucan Tripods?

John - are these LED or Halogens you bought?
If positive ground LED, can you give part number?

I have Halogens and am unhappy with them - since I am old and need more light to see at night

Want to reduce amp draw and get more lumen output
