MG TD TF 1500 - Lucas Fog Lamp
Finally found an original Lucas fog lamp that matches the one that was on my 50 TD when I bought it (previous owner only found one at a reasonable price, never found a mate, and put the one on). I opened the lamp on the car to see how the electrical wires were attached. They appear to attach to small metal cylinders, but seem neither crimped nor soldered. I could do it either way, but want to make sure that I do it the way a real Brit would have done it in the 50s. |

Steve....On our TF there is a one wire connection for the fog lamp. this wire is located under the radiator shroud and has a connector for the so called "bullet" connector on the lamp wire. These bullet connectors do look a little like cylinders. The lamp, when installed to the body (ground) and the single wire is hot, and connected to the "A" switch on the dash. |
