MG TD TF 1500 - M/C return spring

Does anyone know the length of the return spring for the master cylinder on the TD? Mine has gone south. I think 2 1/2" sounds right.

Kevin,

I just measured the spring on my disassembled TD master cylinder. The spring is 3 1/4 inches long.

The information on the master cyldinder is "0283 Lockheed 7/8" and "25489/2" .
