MG TD TF 1500 - Mark II on eBay TD/C
Well, somebody just got an eBay bargain, 300625035949. This car is a genuine Mark II car, and from the few photos it looks damn good. It needs work, but the engine and trans are said to be rebuilt, matching and ready to install, and the body looks virtually ready for paint. There is no way to see what is missing from the engine or if the right carbs are there, but the Andrex shocks are not on the front. Again, there are so few photos so it is impossible to know what's there and missing, but it looks like a fantastic beginning. I congratulate the buyer. I would have bought it, but there is no long distance service from work and I was going to wait until I got home at 6. Already sold for $6,000. Oh, well. I would much rather have this car than the other Mark II last week! Tom Lange bar Harbor, Maine |

Wow, your right Tom. If the body is done well and the engine was really rebuilt. This is a nice buy for someone. |

That one caught my eye earlier today. I hadn't realized that it's purported to be a Mark II. It did look to be quite clean as a resto in progress. The body looks very "crisp." BobbyG |

Bobby - not purported, it IS a Mark II - you can see the genuine TD/C serial number given, as well as the extra blocks on the front A-arms for the Andrex shocks. The seller didn't know that it was a Mark II, or even WHAT a Mark II was (I spoke with him on the telephone)! Tom Lange Bar Harbor, Maine |

ANOTHER one just came up, a black '53 in rough but restorable shape missing its rear Andrex shocks and fuel pumps. John |

Certainly makes the last one a bargain, doesn't it? This one is in sad shape, and will be expensive. Tom Lange Bar Harbor, Maine |
