MG TD TF 1500 - Master Cylinder Dipstick
We all know how hard it is to check the fluid level in the master cylinder so after a quick bit of lateral thinking I marked a lolly stick in quarter inch segments and used it as a dipstick, it seems something around 1.25in is about right. I also use a syringe to fill with a short piece of tube attached ... the job is a lot easier. |

Sounds like a good idea, although having a remote filler tank sounds better still. Dave H |

I make high quality remote reservoir kits for the TD/TF. They are not cheap due to the weak Euro at the moment. The reservoir is vented and a replacement non vented M/C filler cap is also available as an option or you can plug the existing one. Regards Declan |

All but the MS cap can be bought here, as I put that same setup on my motor coach. They set the master cylinder on a stand and built the coach around it! High tech engineering of course! What is the thread size of the MS cap on a TF? PJ |

Declan, I would love to see a picture of the kit installed - where does the reservoir go? |

Paul, You can buy both the standard M/C (vented)filer cap and the M/C rear blanking plug in the USA. Regards Declan |

Kyle, The reservoir sits on the J-bolt for the battery retainer. If you need more info I can send you my catalogue on TD/TF improvement parts if you send me your email address. Regards Declan |
