MG TD TF 1500 - master cyliner removal
any "wise" information on removal of the master cylinder? CAn i leave the fork attached to the brake pedal? Looks like a pain to get the clevis pin out. |

I took a couple of photos of an MC from my spares. I can't see why it wouldn't be possible but getting the rubber sleeve back on might be difficult. Others will chime in, I'm sure. Kirk |

thanks to all for the responses. Not sure i have a MC problem, but after replacing all 6 wheel cylinders can't seem to get any brake after a LOT of bleeding. I plan to give another try at bleeding first. |

M. Morgan, I had a similar problem, poor brake pedal after bleeding. I found that once I adjusted the brakes properly, tighten to the max and back off one click on all 4 wheels, the pedal was perfect. Best Regards, Dave B. |

M, I think a bit more history would be helpful in determining the pedal problem,,, why did you replace all of the wheel cylinders? Was there a decent pedal before the cylinder replacement? SPW |
