I hate that they "re-used" the TF name! But then I didn't like seeing Harley's being made by the same people building bowling balls either! (AMF) Cheers, David 55 TF1500 #7427 |

And I never felt too safe in an AMF Sunfish Sailboat for the same reason!!! SPW |

I'm with David, TF was already taken. What were they thinking?! |

Well, there are some possible perks here. We can possibly get them to sponsor one of the National MG car conventions. Having a Gattlinberg type assembly of MG's would help promote the car. Then, we might be able to get them to look at a retro MG. Would it not be cool to have a designer take the B and the BGT and bring them in to the 21st century? An aluminum engine (4, 6 or V8)with 6 speed trans. New suspension and a updated (but still recognizable) B body style. |

No maybe about it. Just saw it on CNBC. Deal is done. Ground purchased and they expect to have the first hardtop off the line in 2008. |

Hi all, Can't wait. Rob. G. |

If this really does get off the ground and they do produce a new MG this might be just the ticket to get the younger generation interested in our cars. Which would benefit us all. Tony |

Bruce, this has already been done. http://www.mgcars.org.uk/mgrv8pics.html I know you could not get it in the States, shame! |

Yes Cecil But I was thinking more about one I can own. |

If they are really successful, maybe I can get big bucks for my number plate "mgtf". SEAMUS |

And then we can all use our Chinese made tools to work on them. I would bet that they could even beat Lucas!! KG |

I bought a Geo Metro 3dr std tranny and re-badged it as an MG. Why not? If the General can buy it from Suzuki and re-badge it why can't I. It was fun to drive just like a MGTD. However, Because of my job assignment with GM I had a parking spot outside of the Executive Garage and after 2yrs Management finally said "It is suggested that that you no longer park min your assigned spot unless you drive your Company car. Hey, I went back to parking with the good folks and enjoyed the longer walk. (probably how I lost my air). Suzzuki builds great reving engines. Greg & Grimm |
