MG TD TF 1500 - MGTF Bell instead of horn
I just bought a 1954mgtf project car with many parts in boxes. One of the boxes had a metal bell ringing device that appears to be something the driver would step on to activate. It rings once when the "button" is depressed and once on release. It is half the size of a football. Is it to be mounted under the floorboard so that the driver can press the button with his foot? Is it supposed to be with this car? |

This sounds like a 'Bermuda Bell' which was a popular after-market item in the 50's used on many different vehicles of that era. SEAMUS |

You could use it in San Francisco and confuse the cable car guys....!!! |

My uncle had a tram bell on his TD in the 50's just for that purpose! I "inherited" it and had it fitted in a Mini years ago; had lots of fun with it and I may put in in the Y now I remember it..... |

A guy around here has one in a Morris Minor. Sounds like an old gas station bell. He rings it when he pulls up to car meets. It certainly turns heads! |

Iv'e known for years I wanted one. But need other pieces and parts before I can splurge on such fun items. Have kept this web site just for that day.No connection to business http://www.lonewolfwhistle.com/ding-dong-bell.html |
