MG TD TF 1500 - More Space Under the Steering Wheel
A friend has bought a Morgan. He had problems tucking his legs between the steering wheel and seat squab. The dealer has fitted a replacement wheel which has uneven spokes which places the hub off centre and raises the rim of the wheel. This gives more room at the bottom but lifts the top. Don't know what it feels like to drive, especially at full lock but it is something I have never seen before. Looking forwards to MG Live AR Silverstone Jan T |

Horrible I should think! Just like the abominable Quartic steering wheel in the Austin Allegro. Changing to a 15" wheel seems to do it for most people. Dave H |

Jan, That might give him room when the car is going in a straight line,,,, but what happens when he makes a tight turn??? The high spot rotates and will interfere even more at his legs,, it just doesn't sound like a very good solution!! Steve |

I've driven a Morgan with no such problem. Is he heavy? |

I swapped my Brooklands 17 inch wheel for a 15 inch version. Much better fit for an overfed American :-) |
