MG TD TF 1500 - More Wiring details TF

Still working on correct routing for the wiring on the TF. Hopefully I am on the right track but need some more guidance.
1. What is the correct routing for the horn wiring. I have the harness routed from the rear to where it comes up to the left side bulkhead. There is a branch that goes forward to the horns but there doesn't seem to be an obvious route or attaching points.
2. What is the correct routing and attachment points (I'm assuming inside the car) of the loom from left to right and thru the right side of the bulkhead for the wiper, srarter and right side lights?
Don't think it matters but I have a righthand drive car. Thanks for any help.

Pics would be great if possible.

Not sure of your question so here is probably more than you asked-
On my LHD late TD which uses the same harness, the portion of the loom with the right side horn, starter switch, and fuel pump wires travels across the inside of car from under the fuse box location, where the harness divided. The dash wiring was also brought into the car here. I fastened mine to the cross scuttle brace with tie wraps. It exits to the engine side through a grommet in the larger hole beside the battery box.

The part of the harness with the wires for the fuse box, voltage regulator, generator, coil, distributor, and the left side horn remained on the engine side of the bulkhead, as did a portion which was routed along the left chassis rail to the rear for connection to the brake light switch and to another harness for the tail lights, gas gauge and license plate lamp.

The wiring for the headlights and fender parking lights was a separate portion of the harness from the split near the fuse panel. It was routed along the chassis on the left front, with a branch that went through the left fender to the lights; and another branch which goes under the radiator to and through the right fender for the right side lights.

The bulkhead holes are probably different on your TF, but here is a photo of the left side wires, showing the horns wires awaiting the horn

Don't know if any of these shots might help... one of our member's cars during rebuild....

Thanks guys. This helps a little. But I think the TF harness is a little different. The horns on the TF are mounted on the chasis under the radiator. Also it does not appear that the wire for the TF headlights can be routed as suggested for the TD.

Buy the way, When I get this completed and correct, I will post as many pictures as possible for future reference. I have seen many pictures but none just dedicated to wiring details and attachment points.

On my TF the wires from the horn come from the fuse block, go vertically down to the frame, parallel to the harness to the rear, They the go forward on the left side, clipped to the top of the frame by steel clips like the brake tube clips (2 clips), then go below to the horns at the radiator,

The head light wires run forward about midway up the side panel on each side. They are held in place by a cable clamp secured by a fender bolt ( at the highest fender bolt)

Thanks Don.
My Harness (Moss) definitely has the horn wires branching forward (brown,brown/black) to the horn location. It appears that the brown wire to the fuse block is somehow included in the vertical portion of the harness that feeds the rear. Also I don't see any holes in the forward part of the left frame to accept clips. Hope this is clear. Wow what a challenge!

Dan, just check some picts from the TF I helped restore years ago, this was a 17K mile original car. It appears the horn branch runs as Don says inside the left frame rail. In the pre-op photos, it loops up and over the top of the frame rail, goes between the short stiffener stay and the shock, and then loops over the top of the steering rack. This keeps it out of harms way which would be the case if it ran under the crossmember. Pretty sure this had never been changed from factory. The headlight wiring is totally different (it is like Don says) on the TF, since the side bonnet panels are fixed, etc. George

Gordon, Thank you so much, Just what I needed. interesting to see just how much PVC sleeving was used for additional protection. Also, on a side note, the "TF" on the rear is an interesting detail that most miss. There's a TF on ebay with that stencil. First time I noticed it.
Thanks again. As always Very hepful.

It was on my TD as well... although as the diff was painted red, not sure if this was original, or repainted...looks a bit smaller then the TF on
