MG TD TF 1500 - Moss Europe
Just received an email from Moss Europe. I had informed them that bleed nipples they had sent me were not machined correctly (they had a flat section were they should be pointed) They are returning them to the supplier and resourcing subject to sample. I have dealt with them for 45 years Naylor Brothers/MG International/Moss and this was my only complaint. Nice to see a supplier reacting to customer input. Ray TF 2884 |

Several things Moss could fix are the quality of all their rubber parts (this is a huge problem with rubber degrading weeks to months after being installed , the TD glove box knob hole to accept the mounting screw is too large for the original screw to grab it, glove box flocking changed to brown as original, grill medallions for both TD and mkII made flat as original, master cylinder rebuild kits that work properly. That's just what's come to mind. But that said I'm am thankful to all the suppliers for their commitment to keep our cars on the road Bill Chasser TD-4834 |

I agree Bill and I'm sure others do to. If a lot these parts we require were made as in original quality, the cost would be a little over the top for some. Quality is out there on some items, such as Declans rubber parts for one. I rarely buy a new part if I can get an original restored and we have some nice folks out there doing a good job on restorations. I'm sure the suppliers are aware of the poor quality of some new items coming from foreign lands and are trying their best to correct some of the problems. I personally would not want to restore a car today like I did 40 years ago, especially finding replacement parts. Thank goodness for Moss, Abindon Spares, B&G etc! Just my input. PJ |
