MG TD TF 1500 - Moss wire harness
'54 Left hand drive TF. I am working with a Moss harness and have most of the pannel wired. Trying to figure the routing for the rear harness that runs the tail lights and fuel sender. It looks like it should run forward of the fire wall (engine side) down to area where the master brake cylinder resides. I can't see how the harness is routed around the master cylinder. Aft of the master cylinder I have clips on the frame where the harness goes. One option I have looked at is running the harness through the firewall gromet where the main (instrument) harness goes and down inside (driver side) and down past the master brake and then aft. Dosn't look right. I know this has probably been in some post before, but I can't find it in the FAQ's or in a post search, so please bear with me on this. |

Ray - As david's photo shows, there is space between the mounting plate for the master cylinder and the frame rail and the rear harness is routed throughthat space. You may neet to push a piece of solid wire (such as AWG 12 house wire) through the space and use it to pull the harness through. Cheers - Dave |

Thanks for the help. After I found where the channel was the harness pulled through smoothly. I was able to finish the wire work. Now to put power to it and see if I got it right. |
