MG TD TF 1500 - Mystery Part?

Can anyone tell me what this TD part is and where it goes?

It looks to me a lot like the metal stiffener in between the two rubber pads for mounting the fuel pump.

Early TF's pumps were mounted on the tool box like the TD.

I think you’re right. My fuel pump didn’t have a proper mount, just something to hold it on the fire wall. Probably why I didn’t bag and tag it. It was just loose somewhere in the car. Thank you, gentlemen.

When I get a few more parts on, I will send some pics along. Then we can discuss the paint scheme.
