MG TD TF 1500 - Not a T Series, but Interesting British Car

Interesting car on ebay - not sure of this price range, but obviously a quality restoration.

Check out the door hinges!

I meant to include the comment that it was the American version of a British Car :>)

Its a shame it was so 'over restored'... not much character there!!!! Give me a well worn, well loved, used T car!

I have to compliment whomever did the photography.
That leaves nothing to question as to what the car actulally looks like. Of course with a setting like they had it's only natural that the photos would be first class. As to over restored, to each his own. But that is becoming the trend more and more lately from what I've been seeing.

Sure is a cute little toy. It surely won't be played with (used) very much. But as a work of art, it looks priceless to me. Thanks for the link, I probably would have never seen one like this if you hadn't posted it.

Cute little toy is a good description. When they are beside large American cars of the 50s, they seem like you could pick them up and carry them. I was in a National level AACA car show this summer, with many very nice and very expensive cars such as Packards, Pierce Arrows, early Cadillacs, Duesenbergs, etc, as well as the popular 'muscle cars' of the 60s.

Parked together was an Austin 7, and an American Metropolitan- these little cars stole the show- clearly the darlings of the viewing public.

Dallas-

I know what you mean, as I also have several Austin 7's and an American Austin Bantam Special, which all come up to the hub caps on most cars. Always draw a crowd. However, they are a real thriller, as in scarry, when you are racing them and the lorries, XK Jags, etc. come by and blow you off in their wash.
