MG TD TF 1500 - Not MG Related, Fuel Pump Question

Hi Everybody,

This has nothing to do with MGs, but there is so much expertise on this BBS, that I'm hoping one of you out there has some experience with this.

I'm rebuilding my father-n-law's Sprite Mk I. He used to race it in H-prod. It's been in a barn for 24 years. The mechanical fuel pump was replaced with an electric Stewart-Warner 240 A, the same fuel pump used on the Daytona and LeMans winnning GT-40s in '66.

It is not working but I'm not sure how to diagnose it. Can anyone point me to a source of information on the specifics of this fuel pump?
