MG TD TF 1500 - Off-Topic Car ID
Okay, everybody, I have not asked an off-topic question in more than a year(looking for sympathy). Can anyone identify the car in question? I Googled "What is the car driven by Jean Arthur's female workmates in the 1943 movie "The More the Merrier?" It appears to be an early-on Volkswagen precursor. Those headlights look suspiciously British. Whenever I have sought answers in O T categories in the past, always at least one someone came up with a very confident answer. THANKS |

Steve, You are TOO fast! Man, thanks for that assist! I had no idea. I'm going to do a little research on those Fiats! Thanks, Jerry |

Fiat made the Topolino ("Little Mouse") from 1936-1955. When I spent 1-1/2 years in Italy in the early 60's, courtesy of my uncle Sam, there were still quite a few of them on the road. The cute little guys were replaced by the original 500. Joe |

Many of you already know about IMDB.COM for movie info... but did you also know about IMCDB.ORG? It's a car database which identifies and givew info about cars in movies. It's not wholly accurate, but more often than not it's on the money or at least gets you close. Check it out: http://imcdb.org/movie.php?id=36172 |
