MG TD TF 1500 - Ok, ok, it looks better than mine...
...especially from below And of course the Swiss watchmaker overhaul of the instruments... ...but 52k Euro (over 65k$) ---wow !!! These cars really seem to gain value - in theory good to finance the retirement in a few years, but would I give it away ? Not as long as I can turn the key and get that XPAG to roar... |

I saw that too Mike. I thought it was a misprint. I would gladly sell mine for half that price! Declan |

Switzerland is a high-level market for used and classic cars, especially because of the appreciation for car quality and the prices paid (even more now with the high Swiss-franc/whatever-currency exchange rate). The technical inspection services (MOT) are very strict, and the users are in general willing to pay for keeping cars in good condition. The T-series are also highly valued cars in the Swiss and German market. However, these are pehaps not enough reasons for such a high price. Jesus |

It does have nice paint and a straight body, but... 1. Padded dash? Seriously?? 2. Chromed headlight brackets 3. Chromed horns 4. Chromed radiator stay brackets 5. Chromed tool box lid latches? 6. Red overspray on the wiring, and numerous quick splice connectors 7. Plastic hose stuck on valve cover and going ?????? 8. Fuel filter in fuel line, routing of fuel line between the carbs is, odd. 9. Firewall bolts are not painted 10. Red painted muffler. 11. Undercarriage looks to have been painted with a broom. It is refreshing to not see the obnoxious description praising the car as more than it is, I like how the ad is written to let the pictures speak for themselves. The car has obviously had a great deal of work done to it. It is probably a strong driver, it is clean and it does look to have a nice straight body and good paint. It is what it is. Not quite the restoration to fetch that price. Just my $ .02 -David |

What is that on the door? Tried to save & resize the pic ...but too low resolution. |

On my TD the part of the frame that is below the fender is painted black. Looks like they painted the car with the fenders on and just painted the frame with it. |

I was also wondering what that cover on the door is, maybe an elbow rest ? Mike |
