MG TD TF 1500 - One of those days
Three weeks ago I changed the oil in the TF before the Colorado Conclave drive with some of the new Castrol Classic car oil (expensive) and thought I should do the B also. Had been longer than I thought when I checked the log. Last done in December 06 and driven 352 miles since then. So anyhow I needed to drive into town about 4 miles away to get something at the store and decided to take the B since I had been neglecting her. The tops down it's a nice day and she runs good. All's well till I have to stop at a stop sign about 2 miles from home and she dies I start her back up a I her some noise I don't like. I ease her on home and notice the oil pressure drop from the usual 70 lb's to 25 as I pull in the driveway. Shut her down and pop the bonnet to find tha she had expelled all of the brand new oil. Crap! I almost always fire up an engine after an oil change to check for leaks but apparently I did't in this case. Found that the filter wasn't fully seated. Hoping for no engine damage. we'll see.
