MG TD TF 1500 - Original MG TF Problem Opening Up the Site
I have just tried opening up the "Original MG TF" site but the "Firewall Layout" is in black and I can not access it. Any ideas please. Jan T |

Jan, Chris's excellent mgtf site wouldn't open the firewall diagram for me either. I suspect that it may be under construction. I did find the diagram in Malcolm Green's T Series Restoration Guide. If you don't yet gave this book I think it is worth having. The diagram is on pg. 137 in my copy. My apologies to Mr. Green if I've stepped out of bounds for sharing this. |

Thanks for the replies and the images. The reason why I was looking up the firewall site is to check on the hole, near the fuse box that the loom goes through. I took some photos of a TF in the Lakeland Motor Museum and was very interested since it has a KL heater like mine. You'll see from the attached photo that the water pipe from the rear of the head goes through the "loom hole" in the firewall. Unfortunately I didn't realise this during my visit and didn't note where the loom enters the car. I suspect it uses the water temp capillary hole and in fact my car has a notch, filed into this hole, so the capillary can go on the outside of the grommet and something else go through it. I had assumed this was the water pipe but couldn't see how it could bend under the coil. Looks as though it is the loom? I'm currently making up a loom with uprated wires to accommodate my 40A alternator so can route it through this hole if necessary. Has anyone got, or seen this modification? Cheers Jan T |
